Weingut Haart lies only a few metres from the Mosel river, on the romantic, peaceful Ausonius riverbank. Imwediately behind the family's estate, the Peisporter Goldtropfchen vineyard begins its uphill climb, and only a few steps from the winery are the remains of the first and oldest Roman grape pressing house that has been unearthed along the Mosel. Since 1337, our family is producing wine from grapes only grown in our own vineyards around Piesport. Haart is Riesling. We do not use any chemical fertilizer. The average harvest is around 50HL/ha with a growing area of 8 ha. Fermentation is done with wild yeast.
